Limited Capacity seats available

This presentation will address the transformative benefits that have been realized through a partnership between Centinela Valley Union High School District (CVUHSD), Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) recruiters, and the Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program. This partnership has expanded college and career opportunities for CVUHSD students, creating an avenue to inspire and motivate the next generation of leaders. We will explore the advantages and strategies of such a partnership, from broadening students' perspectives about potential career paths, fostering leadership skills, instilling discipline, and encouraging civic responsibility, to providing financial aid options for college and assistance with college acceptance. The discussion will also touch upon the diverse training and scholarship opportunities available for students, thus equipping them with the right tools to succeed in both college and career fields. We will also discuss best practices drawn from these successful partnerships, offering a practical guide for initiating and sustaining these relationships.
